My name is Joanna Sutton.
I'm an artist; illustrator, crafter, and burlesque dancer.
I am currently deeply invested in a comic idea that I have for a steampunk San Francisco. I hardly even have a working title for it yet but once I do, I'll post it with my preview pictures I will be posting as a little teaser and so I can share this creative process. This is most certainly a welcomed journey that I thinkk others would like to share in. :)
In order to achieve this dream, I am enrolled in the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and I will be here for a couple of years.

So, I was just talking with my photographer friend and he told me of a Gallery Show at the end of August he thinks I should participate in. I already have a presentation idea consisting of comics and character studies. Currently thinking of what this comic could possibly be about though. I have a couple of ideas and would love even more. Maybe someone else can help me kick the inspiration ball into motion. :)

Page one is finally done and I don't have to stare at it anymore! I learned a lesson, don't start from scratch on photoshop when you don't have much experience in digital painting at all. I'm going to experiment with upcoming pages and see what works the best.

The first page of Roll for Perception is almost done (swearsies) but for this week's been rough. For a couple of days there, there was some emotional relationship things going on but as I started to feel better, I realized that my best friend's 21st birthday is coming up! So, we may have canon fan-art before the actual comic starts.
